I envy the two suitcase man; I have long aspired but never succeeded in becoming him. It is moving day. I have so much crap. I don’t even buy it for myself. I didn’t even know I had all these pants in ugly shades and detailing. Thanks, mom. I want to burn it all. Burn it all.

A few days later, having found my bag in Hoboken, I worked out (if only for a short while — baby steps) at the NYSC on 38th and 8th. Nevermind the unnecessary and decadent meals in between. Even just 20 minutes of cardio is a start.

Contents include car keys, lunch, gym clothes, and work binders. I’d planned on kicking off my new healthy life with a workout today. An NY morning tweet juxtaposition:
Ruth Reichl: Gray day in the city. Dogs running joyous circles in the park. Drinking coffee with cream, eating bagels with lox; so happy to be here.
Me: Crosstown in 20? I think I can I think I can…!
Just finished my first week back at work. Relaxing this Friday night solo. Celebrations forthcoming.
